Keurig K575 Coffee Maker Review [6 Key Benefits!]

The Keurig K575 coffee maker is one of the biggest Keurig coffee makers. And it is BIG. It’s an easy machine to use and it will give you a pretty good tasting coffee in under a minute. It’s not going to be competing with some of the more expensive machines with all the bells-and-whistles on the market. BUT it holds its own against other similarly priced models. Keep reading for our full review of the Keurig K575 Coffee Maker.

Keurig K575 Coffee Maker: What do we like?

The Keurig K575 Coffee Maker is a pretty standard single-serve pod machine. Except that it is part of Keurig 2.0 coffee brewer series. That means you are not only able to make coffee with the standard K-pod size. You have 2 new options – the K-mug for a larger cup and K- carafe for four cups.

With the Keurig 2.0 technology, the Keurig K-575 will automatically make the coffee, depending on the size of the pod that has been inserted in the machine.

Another excellent feature is that you can program the machine to turn on AND turn off after a certain time.

There could be days when you really need an extra boost in caffeine. When you buy Keurig K575, you can also choose how hot and strong you want your coffee.

It’s a really nice simple machine, with some thoughtful options that aren’t standard in many other models.

Keurig K575 Review: The Design

The Keurig K575 Coffee Maker is a big unit! No getting around it! It’s got an 80-ounce water reservoir (2.36 liters for any of our metric friends) which is HUGE. And so, of course, the machine is pretty big as well.

Keurig K575 measures 13.2” H x 10.5” W x 13.3” D

Apart from the sheer size of the machine, the Keurig K575 Coffee Maker has a large touch-screen located at the front and center. This gives you the option to vary how much coffee you want.

The water reservoir sits at the side and can be removed if needed. The pods go in the top, and you simply select the strength of the coffee using the touchscreen. Put your cup or mug (just removed the drip tray if you need more height clearance for a travel mug). And voila, you’ll have your coffee in seconds.

It’s big machine and the casing is plastic. It’s not a bad looking model. But it also isn’t a particularly glamorous affair. You won’t receive any compliments, but it won’t inspire any hate in your kitchen either.

Honestly, we prefer stainless steel and slightly more styling.

But for the price point, it’s pretty neutral in the styling department. The only real thing to be aware of is its size! It’s definitely not for small kitchens.

Keurig K575 Discontinued [Updated]

Keurig K575 has been discontinued. Taking over its place is the newer Keurig K-Elite. Check out the Keurig K-Elite Review. However, as of to-date, you can still find them on Amazon.

6 Key Benefits of this Keurig  2.0 K575 Coffee Brewer

1. Huge Water Tank

You may never need to fill up a water reservoir again. This might be a slight exaggeration, but not by much. Really 80 OUNCES – that’s up to ten cups!!

2. No fuss.

Like all pod machines, fill up your water reservoir, put in your coffee pod, press play and away you go. Super simple

3. Able to adjust the coffee strength

The option to decide how much coffee you brew. This needs to take off in the market! I would say everyone I know likes to add milk to their pod coffees. And they want it in a MUG.

So, we love K575 for having 3 different cup sizes! You can even fill up a carafe which is a handy option for a group!

4. Programmable timer

Pre-programming is excellent for those of us who like to prepare things in advance. I mean who likes to do so much chore in the early morning.

When you have this Keurig K575 in your house, you can program it to turn on in the morning, meaning the machine is ready to go when you are.

And you can program to automatically go into power-saving mode. We always appreciate these little extra details, and this machine is no exception

5. Option to brew a large carafe at one go

A pod-based coffee maker is really convenient when you make coffee for just yourself. However, it gets inconvenient when you have to prepare for a large group. Imagine repeating the same process of brewing a few times.

With the Keurig 2.0 K575, you can now have the option to brew a carafe. So it is really convenient now.

6. Able to use cheaper coffee grounds

Keurig K575 is compatible with the Keurig’s My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter.

My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter

So you have the option to use reusable coffee pods. This allows you to have the best of both worlds. When you like convenience, you can choose from Keurig’s large K-Cup ecosystem with over 400 K-cups options from over 70 brands.

When you want to try other brands or simply to save more money, you can use the reusable coffee filter.

Potential Shortcomings of Keurig K575 Coffee Maker

It only allows the use of Keurig Pods

You are committed to the “K-pods”. You can’t use other pods like Nespresso pods or Cuisinart Pods.

We’re kind of mixed fans of pods. On the one hand they do make it easy as pie to quickly brew a coffee. But on the other hand, they simply cost more. So the lifetime cost of a pod machine will be more than any other options on the market.

But the nice thing about Keurig K575 is that it allows the use of coffee grounds with the reusable coffee filter.

It uses Plastic Casing.

It’s not big deal, really. But plastic just always makes coffee machines seem a bit cheap.

You can’t froth milk with Keurig K575

There’s no milk frothing of any sort. Not a problem if you like your coffee black or you’re happy to just add the milk straight in. But might be a problem if you’re a latte connoisseur.

Is Keurig K575 worth it?

The Keurig K575 Coffee Maker is pretty reasonably priced, though a bit on the higher end of the spectrum for this type of coffee machines, but not outlandishly so. For being a bit on the higher end, you do get a big touch screen with some non-standard options, and you obviously get the giant water reservoir, however it is still in plastic casing.

Should I buy the Keurig K575 Platinum Coffee Maker?

Are you making lots of coffee and want your life to be straightforward? If that’s you, then Keurig K575 Coffee Maker is worth considering.

At first, we thought that maybe the Keurig K575 Coffee Maker was too big for home use. But having spent a bit of time with it, we think that a busy household could probably make good use of the Keurig K575 Coffee Maker.

It’s worth really thinking about how much coffee you drink and how much you use your coffee machine.

More features always sound nice. But if you’re not actually going to use them, then they end up being a waste of money.

You might occasionally have friends over and need to make coffee for a crowd. But if you live alone and usually just make one cup of coffee before leaving the house, then all these features are not going to be useful.

On the other hand, if you work from home and are drinking three or four cups a day or maybe you live with others who drink a couple themselves, then making coffee will be easy and convenient for you when you buy the Keurig K575 Coffee Maker!
