3 Key Differences Between Breville Oracle versus Oracle Touch
Breville Oracle and Oracle Touch have many similarities. But like everything else, they also have their differences. Here are the key differences that make each one stand out.
1 Features
Breville released the Oracle Touch after the original Oracle. The new release included more high-tech features than the Breville Oracle.
The most notable feature of the Oracle Touch is its touch screen operations. The screen shows a full menu of espresso, long black, latte, flat white, or cappuccino. Select one, place your coffee beans, and wait. Whatever you selected, your Oracle Touch will create. It will taste exactly like how your favorite cafe makes it.
Another feature in the Oracle Touch is the “create and save” feature. This feature was not in the original Breville Oracle. How the “create and save” works is that it allows you to save your own creations. You can save your preferred adjustments in coffee strength, milk texture or temperature. The best part is that you can save it, name it, and add it to the menu list. So the next time you want the exact same coffee adjustments, it’s found in the menu list. You can customize up to 8 coffee creations.
2 Price
A big difference between the Breville Oracle and Oracle Touch is the price. With fewer features, the original Oracle sells for much cheaper. In fact, it is $500 dollars cheaper than the Oracle Touch. The Oracle Touch price can range from $2,000 to $2,500.
It’s no secret that the Breville Oracle and Oracle Touch are pricey. You should weigh in your budget, your needs, and all that before buying one or the other.
3 Appearance
At first glance, the Breville Oracle and Oracle Touch look the same. But there are some differences even in the appearance, though very slight.
The Breville Oracle has buttons in the front. The Breville Oracle Touch has no buttons because it’s all touch-screen.
The Breville Oracle has two knobs at the side for the coffee bean extraction and milk texturizer. The Breville Oracle Touch only has one knob that works for both of those.
The Breville Oracle Touch is a little bigger and wider than the Breville Oracle.
These small appearance differences can be important when looking for a place to set it in your home.

Breville Oracle or Oracle Touch : Which to buy?
I was also faced with the same question a few years back. Should I buy the Breville Oracle or Oracle Touch? I was able to make the decision after weighing in the similarities and differences. I made sure that my preferences and needs were also considered.
I decided to go for the Oracle Touch. I figured it was worth to pay the extra $500. And I will explain why.
I love drinking brewed coffee. I love espressos. I can’t think straight without first drinking my morning coffee. I am a coffee minutia to the core. But I seem to never have time to click the same buttons each morning to create my steaming cup of coffee. This is why I got so attracted to the “save and create” feature of the Oracle Touch. I needed to create my coffee preference only once. Each morning, one click gives me the coffee I like. While it is extracting and brewing, I can do other things. Then I get back and enjoy the perfect steaming cup of coffee. This is what drew me to this decision. I haven’t yet regretted spending all that money on it.
